The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville (the “Town”) is soliciting Bid Proposals from qualified Planning and Urban Design Consultants (“Proponents”) to undertake a Land Use Study to prepare a Comprehensive Block Plan for the Stouffville GO Major Transit Station Area (MTSA). On October 1, 2025, Council endorsed a motion to direct staff to initiate the development of a Comprehensive Block Plan. The Block Plan will establish a framework to guide and facilitate future redevelopment based on transit-supportive and transit-oriented design principles that promote more intensive mixed-use development to foster a complete, connected, and vibrant downtown area. The successful proponent will work closely with the Town’s Development Services department through the duration of the Study. |
