The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville (the “Town”) is soliciting Bids from Contractors to complete ROAD SWEEPING on Municipal roads and parking lots for a two (2) year term of contract (2021-2022). The Scope of Work (the “Work”) consists of the supply and operation of street sweepers. All Work is to be carried out within the limits of the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.

The general scope of work involves the supply and operation of street sweepers. The unit price for road sweeping shall be fixed for the first year (2021) and then will be subject to indexing as described in this RFT document.

            The road sweeping operations include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. 1. Spring clean-up of streets and parking lots (minimum of six (6) high dump road sweepers to be supplied) to remove winter sand and debris;
   2. Routine monthly sweeping of streets located in the downtown core as well as collector and arterial roads as directed by the Town;
   3. Spot sweeping at locations determined by the Town;
   4. Emergency spot road sweeping of haul routes to/from construction sites where the Contractor’s street sweeper is not present or broken down;
   5. Emergency spot sweeping in response to motor vehicle accidents; and
   6. Emergency spot road flushing.

              It is anticipated that approximately 720 hours total sweeping time shall be required for each year of the Contract.
